Job description

*This position is onsite at least 4x a week at our New Rochelle office.

Position Purpose:

  • Responsible for designing user experiences and interfaces for websites, digital experiences, interactivities, games, and apps.
  • Ensure the creation and implementation of customized educational experiences for the digital user.
  • Produce high-quality solutions through flow diagrams, graphic designs, storyboards and site maps.
  • Reviewing user feedback to determine potential defects or areas for clarity.
  • Work closely Editorial, Design, and IT departments and company personnel to refine user experience and performing usability tests on software products or website features to ensure functionality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design easy-to-use, engaging, intuitive user experiences and interfaces for a variety of projects and applications with consideration to end-user platforms/browsers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand requirements and processes in relation to contextual user behavior for design proposals
  • Prototype ideas and provide Figma mock-ups with ongoing revisions based on feedback
  • Present designs for review and positively accept constructive feedback to be able maintain fast-paced design-build cycles
  • Apply knowledge of HTML/CSS and an understanding of how compositions translate to code in order to deliver best in class designs.

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience:

  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in digital design or related field.
  • Fully conversant in all WCAG accessibility requirements
  • Comprehensive understanding of UX/UI as it relates to the ed tech market
  • Excellent visual and organizational skills
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment across multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • User product / research skills
  • Knowledge of all relevant industry tools and software
  • Interpersonal Communication Skills
  • Problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges
  • Attention to detail and mastery of information design
  • Excellent skills in Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to write HTML, CSS,JS skills a big plus.

Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
