About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Digital Ecommerce Manager to oversee ecommerce website operations, digital customer experience, ecommerce technology, website projects, and online business initiatives. This role ensures website performance, reliability, usability, brand consistency, and effective execution of digital projects while coordinating developers, agencies, vendors, marketing teams, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate has strong ecommerce and project management experience, understands ecommerce platforms, integrations, analytics, tracking, UX/UI, and front-end web concepts (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), and can effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical teams. Coding is not required. The candidate should also be curious about AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and similar platforms, and interested in exploring practical ways AI can improve ecommerce operations, workflows, documentation, reporting, QA, and productivity.
What You'll Do:
โ€ข Ecommerce Website & Platform Management
o Manage day-to-day ecommerce website operations and related digital systems.
o Oversee website updates, checkout functionality, payment settings, tracking, apps, integrations, and platform configurations.
o Coordinate with developers, agencies, designers, and internal teams to implement enhancements and resolve issues.
o Monitor website performance, mobile responsiveness, customer-facing bugs, tracking issues, and site reliability.
o Ensure websites are user-friendly, mobile-optimized, visually consistent, and aligned with brand standards.
o Understand the impact of themes, apps, integrations, tracking, and platform changes on performance and customer experience.
โ€ข Project Management
o Lead ecommerce and website projects from planning through launch.
o Create project briefs, requirements, timelines, QA plans, testing procedures, launch plans, and post-launch reviews.
o Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners.
o Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements.
o Manage priorities, risks, dependencies, budgets, approvals, and deliverables.
o Conduct testing before and after launches to ensure successful implementation.
UX/UI & Customer Experience
o Apply UX/UI best practices to improve the online shopping experience.
o Identify and resolve friction points across navigation, product pages, forms, cart, checkout, mobile experience, page speed, and trust signals.
o Use analytics and behavior tools (GA4, Shopify Analytics, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, etc.) to identify improvement opportunities.
o Support A/B testing, landing page optimization, checkout improvements, and mobile enhancements.
o Recommend data-driven improvements that enhance usability, conversion, and customer satisfaction.
โ€ข Visual Design & Brand Consistency
o Ensure all website updates align with brand guidelines, including colors, typography, imagery, layout, tone, and overall presentation.
o Review pages, banners, forms, popups, and assets before launch.
o Coordinate with creative and marketing teams to ensure accurate implementation.
o Identify visual inconsistencies and usability issues that may impact trust or conversions.
o Maintain consistent experiences across desktop and mobile devices.
โ€ข Technical Coordination & Ecommerce Systems
o Serve as the business-side owner of ecommerce technology, website improvements, and integrations.
o Maintain working knowledge of ecommerce platforms (Shopify, Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Magento, WooCommerce, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, etc.).
o Understand HTML, CSS, JavaScript, APIs, tracking pixels, data feeds, apps, plugins, ERP, OMS, CRM, email/SMS, loyalty, review, search, subscription, and customer service integrations.
o Communicate effectively with developers and vendors, evaluate technical recommendations, and ensure solutions support business objectives.
โ€ข AI & Workflow Improvement
o Explore practical uses of AI and LLM tools to improve productivity, documentation, research, QA, planning, reporting, troubleshooting, and process development.
o Identify opportunities to reduce repetitive work and improve communication and efficiency.

o Monitor conversion rate, traffic, revenue, checkout performance, customer behavior, and campaign effectiveness.

o Ensure tracking, pixels, UTMs, and conversion events function properly.
o Identify data gaps and coordinate technical fixes.

o Maintain documentation, troubleshooting guides, QA procedures, and platform settings.
o Respond quickly to customer-facing issues affecting sales or user experience.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years in ecommerce, website operations, digital commerce, or ecommerce project management.
