Job Title: Business Development Managers & Account Managers
Location:Detroit, MI (Remote)
For this position, sponsorship would not be available now or in the future.
We are seeking a Business Development leader and Account Manager who effectively challenges the status quo and acts with a sense of urgency and purpose to drive sales growth and increase market share, uncover and effectively convey customer pains and needs, provide timely awareness of ongoing sales activity, and maintain long-term strategic customer relationships.The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience in developing sales growth strategies and engaging B2B sales, implementing and driving accountability to meet action plan expectations, conducting and communicating market analysis, driving win/win contract negotiations, documenting technical specifications, prioritizing and aligning deliverables with internal partners, and closing deals.Success in this role is delivering results, period.You must be willing to travel at least 50% of the time, involving overnight stay, to meet with assigned accounts and develop new customer relationships in the south, western, other territories of the United States.
Core Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies and action plans for capturing new opportunities that expand into emerging markets and new territories.
  • Drive sales to achieve business growth initiatives while meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) for profitability, margin, and the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing, design, product and production teams to ensure the integration of new industries and product specifications are met and executed on-time.
  • Implement and leverage digital marketing and social media channels to identify, develop and grow customer engagement. Support the development of marketing content, aligned with agreed upon growth strategies, to attract and facilitate the sales process.
  • Partner with sales team members to create and negotiate contract-winning proposals.
  • Leverage and maintain meaningful documentation in the CRM system to ensure business continuity with existing and prospective customers.
  • Provide transparency about action plan status and course corrections in order to ensure effective team alignment and on-time delivery.
  • Attend conferences and tradeshows as a subject matter expert for our business products, processes and operations, and remain current on industry activity and future developments.
  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.

  • Strong business and financial acumen, including knowledge of balance sheets, income statements, capitalization, budgets and cost/price modeling.

  • Proven ability to meet or exceed customer service requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience applying digital and social medical to identify, grow and sustain customer engagement.

Experience Required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field within industrial markets.
  • 7 to 10 years' B2B sales leadership in a Business Development or Sales Manager role.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated success in technical sales and consultative problem solving (solution selling).
  • Demonstrated success selling through direct and distribution networks.
  • Experience selling engineered-to-order products in one or more of the following markets: oil/gas, medical, mining, steel/aluminum mills, tool and die, metal stamping
