Job description

Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Associate Strategy and Transformation Manager, this role leads the technical development and delivery of digital solutions that help the business run better. The Developer supports Andrews' Strategy and Transformation team by designing, building, and implementing software, automations, and where they add real value AI-powered tools that improve operational effectiveness across the company.
The work blends application development, systems integration, workflow automation, and applied AI. It splits between larger products and a steady pipeline of smaller improvement initiatives that originate from people across the business. The right person is comfortable reaching for the simplest tool that solves the problem a script, an integration, an off-the-shelf product, or an AI model rather than defaulting to any one of them.
Key Project Clienteling App (CAPP)
Support the design and development of the Clienteling Application (CAPP) for sales-staff customer relationship management, with direction and approval from the Senior Associate Strategy and Transformation Manager.
Develop and integrate application features including customer data management, interaction tracking, and stylist workflow tools.
Where it improves the stylist experience, build AI-assisted features such as customer-history summarization, product and outfit recommendations, and next-best-action prompts each weighed against simpler alternatives before adoption.
Create technical documentation and user guides for CAPP deployment and adoption.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and iterate on application functionality.
Business Improvement Initiative Support
Assess the technical feasibility of improvement ideas raised by individuals and teams across the business, and recommend a build approach: automation, integration, off-the-shelf tool, or custom development.
Provide hands-on implementation for initiatives that exceed the originating team's technical capacity.
Build automations, integrations, APIs, microservices, and lightweight internal tools including AI-powered ones (e.g. document processing, classification, summarization, or assistant/chat interfaces) where they deliver clear value.
Support integration between existing systems (e.g. Shopify, SalesLink, EasyTeam) and new solutions.
Help triage and prioritize the incoming pipeline of small requests so effort goes where the payoff is highest.
Umbrella Responsibilities
Provide practical technical guidance on automation, integration, and applied-AI work across the improvement pipeline.
Conduct feasibility assessments and recommend right-sized technical approaches, favouring maintainable solutions over unnecessary complexity.
Share knowledge with team members implementing their own solutions and help raise the team's general technical capability.
Document technical specifications, key decisions, and implementation approaches so work is repeatable and supportable.
Participate in planning, scoping, and prioritization discussions for technology initiatives.
Undertake hands-on implementation for technical initiatives at the Company's direction.
Potential Future Scope (upon completion of primary deliverables)
Contribute to the development of the Process Development Application based on the existing PRD, reporting to the project owner (VP).
