Job description

The Data Entry Clerk supports project managers, accounting, and field operations by accurately entering, organizing, and maintaining critical construction data. This role is hands‑on, fast‑paced, and essential for keeping job cost, compliance, and operational records clean and up to date.


• Enter daily job cost data including labor hours, equipment usage, materials, purchase orders, and subcontractor invoices.

• Maintain and update project logs: RFIs, submittals, change orders, safety reports, and daily field reports.

• Upload and track compliance documents (COIs, W‑9s, safety certifications, onboarding packets).

• Verify accuracy of job codes, cost codes, and project numbers across all entries.

• Support project managers and accounting teams with data pulls, weekly reporting, and document organization.

• Maintain digital filing systems for drawings, contracts, and project documentation.

• Ensure all data meets company standards for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.


Required Skills and Experience

• 1+ year of data entry or administrative experience; construction industry preferred.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, PDF editing, and construction software (Procore, Viewpoint, Sage, CMiC, or similar).

• High accuracy and attention to detail in fast‑moving environments.

• Ability to read and interpret basic construction documents (POs, invoices, job cost reports).

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent communication skills and comfort working with field teams, accounting, and project management.
