Job description

Are you a content strategist and writer who is passionate about helping brands grow their organic presence? Do you thrive on research, adapt seamlessly to different brand voices, and know how to write for people, search engines, and LLMs? If so, keep reading! We are looking for an SEO/GEO Content Writer eager for a new challenge and ready to make a real impact for a diverse portfolio of clients.

How will you make a difference?

Search is still the most powerful way consumers discover and evaluate products online, but the rules have changed. Today's top-ranking content requires genuine expertise, strategic thinking, and skilled writing. You'll own your clients' content strategies – including category copy, product copy, blog articles, and more – applying your marketing and writing skills while leveraging AI tools to support the creative process. Your editorial eye will ensure every piece meets our quality standards before it reaches a client. The result: content that drives visibility, trust, and results.

What will you do?

  • Understand your client’s products/services and target markets, and research the client’s competitive search landscape to identify opportunities to build the client’s core brand message and expertise, experience, authoritativeness, and trustworthiness (E-E-A-T).
  • Conduct topical keyword, entity, and prompt fan-out research for category, product, blogs, and informational pages.
  • Create optimized copy for all page types, including performing qualitative or quantitative research as needed for topic pillars and sub-pillars.
  • Partner with an SEO Technical Analyst to review off-site authority signals through backlink analysis, third party reviews, and unlinked mentions.
  • Collaborate with an SEO Technical Analyst to synthesize competitive landscape research and keyword research into a cohesive individualized SEO/GEO strategy for your clients.
  • Spearhead the communication and execution of SEO/GEO strategies you develop.
  • Manage multiple projects and topics simultaneously, seamlessly moving from niche to niche as needed, and adhering to deadlines.
  • Build strong client relationships by creating and sending meeting agendas and follow-ups, leading calls, helping organize client visits, and providing proactive communication regarding account strategy.
  • Monitor organic search performance through a variety of tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, keyword rank trackers, and LLM visibility applications.
  • Contribute to monthly SEO/GEO performance reports and communicate results, findings, and strategies to clients.
  • Work with sales and SEO team members to deliver SEO/GEO pitches to prospective clients as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members from other marketing channels to ensure a cohesive strategy for shared clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of writing experience in a marketing or deadline-driven role.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Passion for SEO/GEO and a proactive attitude toward enhancing knowledge and self-development.
  • Curiosity about the changing organic search landscape and openness to experimenting with AI tools.
  • Embodies ROI’s core values and is willing to contribute to a collaborative team environment.
