Job Title: Digital Content Manager/Admin

Location: Jamaica, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Proven experience with content management and digital asset management systems such as Recollect, CONTENTdm, Islandora, and PastPerfect. Responsibilities included system administration, implementation, ongoing maintenance, and application of metadata standards and digital asset lifecycle best practices.
  • Hands-on experience as a system administrator, including system configuration, creation and management of user roles and permissions, development of metadata schemas and fields, organizing digital content, and serving as the primary technical support contact for issue resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead complex data migration projects. This includes cross-functional collaboration with IT teams, stakeholders, and vendors; thorough documentation of project milestones; and establishment of user acceptance criteria.
  • Experience as a site administrator responsible for managing front-end user interfaces, including customization of homepage elements, headers, footers, and widget configuration to optimize user experience.
  • Skilled in ongoing system support and maintenance activities, including user training, troubleshooting, and detailed documentation of configurations, workflows, and user guides.
  • Experience performing functional and regression testing as well as validating data migrations to ensure the completeness and accuracy of asset transfers.
  • Practical experience working within an archive, public library, or similar cultural or educational institution.
