At WSU Tech, we're looking for a creative, energetic Social Media & Digital Content Specialist who is passionate about creating content that connects with people. If you love filming short-form videos, designing eye-catching graphics, staying on top of social media trends, and bringing ideas to life, this could be the perfect opportunity.

As part of our Communications team, you'll help showcase student success, campus life, academic programs, and the impact WSU Tech has on our community through engaging digital content.

Location: WSU Tech National Center for Aviation Training

Compensation: $23.01/hr

What You'll Do
  • Create engaging social media content, including photos, graphics, and short-form videos.
  • Capture live events and share real-time content across WSU Tech's social platforms.
  • Design digital assets for both organic and paid marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with departments across the college to tell compelling stories.
  • Monitor content performance and recommend new ideas to increase engagement.
  • Stay current with social media trends and emerging digital platforms

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is creative, organized, and excited to grow their skills while making an impact. The ideal candidate has experience creating digital content, enjoys working in a collaborative environment, and understands what makes content perform across today's social media platforms.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating engaging content.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), and mobile video editing tools.
  • Strong writing, communication, storytelling, and organizational skills.
  • Applicants should be prepared to provide a portfolio of previous work demonstrating their creativity, content creation skills, and experience across digital and social media platforms.
