Digital Assets are the actual digital files or content, while Digital Asset Managers are professionals who oversee, organize, and strategize these assets within organizations. Understanding this distinction helps clarify roles in digital content management and career paths.

How do professionals in Digital Assets roles typically collaborate with other departments within an organization?

Digital Assets professionals often work closely with teams such as IT, legal, compliance, and finance to ensure the secure management, transfer, and storage of digital assets like cryptocurrencies or NFTs. They frequently coordinate with compliance and legal departments to navigate regulatory requirements, and with IT to implement secure systems and protocols. Collaboration is essential to maintain asset integrity, adapt to evolving regulations, and ensure organizational objectives are met. Effective communication and cross-functional teamwork are key to success in this field.

What are digital assets?

Digital assets are any items of value that exist in a digital format and come with the right to use them. These include cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum, digital files such as images, videos, and documents, as well as intellectual property stored electronically. Digital assets can be owned, transferred, or traded, and often require secure storage solutions. They are increasingly important in finance, media, and business due to the rise of blockchain technology and digital content creation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Digital Assets Manager, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Digital Assets Manager, you need a strong understanding of digital asset management (DAM) principles, metadata standards, and experience with organizing large volumes of digital files, typically supported by a relevant degree or experience in library science, information management, or media. Familiarity with DAM software platforms (such as Adobe Experience Manager, Bynder, or Widen), cloud storage solutions, and digital rights management tools is essential. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams are crucial soft skills for success in this role. These competencies ensure that digital assets are efficiently stored, easily accessible, and properly maintained, supporting business operations and brand consistency.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Lead with deep subject matter expertise in digital asset settlement to lead the design, evolution, and delivery of institutional-grade settlement capabilities across blockchain and fiat payment rails.

You will shape products used by some of the most sophisticated companies in the world and deliver value to these customers and their own counterparties, from onboarding to daily investment and payment interactions.

This is a high-impact role that combines customer empathy, strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and strong prioritization capabilities. Reporting to the Chief Product Officer, this position requires close and continuous collaboration with talented teams across the organization, including Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Compliance.

You will enjoy this role if you care deeply about helping customers succeed, want to work directly with clients, enjoy creating innovative technology, and want to see ideas quickly shipped into production.

Were looking for a passionate individual who wants to grow with the company. The ideal candidates thrive on working in a fast-paced environment, look for efficiency in everything they do, always set high standards for themselves as well as their teammates, and like to have fun at work!

What you will be doing

Customer Engagement

  • Engage directly with customers and partners to gather feedback, understand their workflows, operational challenges, and integration requirements, present new/candidate features, and translate insights into the prioritized backlog.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Client Success to articulate product value to institutional customers.
  • Attend conferences, speaking engagements, and sales events to present and showcase Jikos product offerings.
  • Partner with Engineering to define scope, estimate timelines, assess technical tradeoffs, and drive agile development cycles.

Digital Assets Product Management

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on how digital asset firms manage post-trade settlement, treasury movements, and counterparty risk/controls.
  • Define the product roadmap for digital asset customers based on customer input, internal stakeholders, competitive offerings, evolving market, and user data. Also, leverage new functionalities within the Jiko platform, particularly around the JikoNet Crypto settlement network.
  • Translate these insights into clear priorities and a multi-horizon strategy that balances near-term delivery with long-term platform evolution.
  • Design product features that are reusable across diverse market participants, balancing configurability, ease of use, and the operational robustness required for institutional-scale adoption. In full alignment with legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
  • Continuously improve the customer experience and UX, focusing on the unique needs of institutional digital asset users.
  • Ensure consistency with platform capabilities and collaborate with other product teams to manage dependencies, share best practices and leverage common services (authentication, wallet management, payments, investment engine, analytics, etc.).
  • Deliver the roadmap, keeping stakeholders informed on progress, and proactively resolving roadblocks to ensure timely, high-quality releases.

What experience you should have

  • 5+ years of experience in product, operations, or market infrastructure roles in the digital assets industry.
  • Demonstrated expertise in institutional digital asset settlement workflows, including wallet and custody models (segregated vs omnibus), blockchain protocols, stablecoin-based settlement, on/off-ramp mechanics, treasury and liquidity operations. With familiarity with fiat payment rails and their interaction with always-on crypto markets.
  • Strong understanding of regulated financial environments and financial infrastructure for both investment and payment workflows.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; comfortable engaging with both customers and internal teams. Has experience presenting in front of a live audience.
  • Data-driven mindset and ability to prioritize, eliminate ambiguity, and drive complex initiatives to completion.
