Job description

Location: Bolingbrook, IL – Hybrid, approximately 3 days onsite per week
Pay Rate: $32/hr
Duration: Through 03/20/2027
Schedule: 4 days/week, Tuesday–Friday, with potential to increase to 5 days/week


Important: This is a hybrid role requiring multiple onsite days every week at Ulta Beauty’s Bolingbrook headquarters, so candidates must be local and comfortable with the ongoing onsite schedule.


About the Role:
Ulta Beauty is looking for a Digital Asset Specialist to manage the intake, organization, processing, quality control, and delivery of creative photo and video assets. This person will serve as a key liaison for the photography studio, working closely with Creative, Photography, Video, Retouching, and Production teams to ensure assets are accurately processed and easily accessible.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically skilled, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of digital assets in a fast-paced studio environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily intake, processing, organization, and transfer of digital photo and video assets
  • Organize digital files through file naming, metadata tagging, keywording, and asset cataloging
  • Coordinate asset movement between photographers, creative teams, retouchers, and external production partners
  • Deliver assets to internal retouching teams and external agencies with detailed notes and requests
  • Perform quality assurance checks on PDP assets, including image validation, cropping, sizing, color swatches, naming conventions, and eCommerce specifications
  • Create composite product imagery and perform batch edits using Adobe Photoshop Actions and automation tools
  • Manage large-scale image and video libraries across servers and digital asset management platforms
  • Upload, organize, and maintain assets within Frontify and manage video workflows in Frame.io
  • Support image research and retrieval requests for internal stakeholders and leadership presentations
  • Pull and compile assets for monthly business reviews, creative recaps, and reporting
  • Provide backup support for digital asset processing and other studio operational needs
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, efficiency, and asset accessibility
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and quality across all digital asset workflows


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in digital asset management or a related field
  • Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Bridge
  • Experience with batch processing and Photoshop Actions
  • Experience working with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
  • Strong understanding of digital file management, metadata standards, and image optimization
  • Experience with Capture One, Frame.io, Frontify, Global Edit, Firefly Creative Production, or similar platforms is preferred
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Monday.com is a plus
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail and quality control skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional creative and production teams
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with a high level of accuracy and accountability
