What is a Digital Analytics Developer?

A Digital Analytics Developer is a professional who implements, manages, and optimizes analytics solutions on digital platforms, such as websites and mobile apps. They work with tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and tag management systems to collect and analyze user data. Their role involves creating and maintaining tracking codes, ensuring accurate data capture, and providing insights that support business decisions. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the definition of project specifications and articulate client requirements
  • Help to ensure that all departments involved in the project operate as a united team and have everything they need to be successful
  • Use AI-enabled productivity tools to streamline coordination work — drafting meeting recaps, action items, status updates, and project documentation — applying them thoughtfully within project workflows
  • Research and review data and insights to help define digital strategies that align with business objectives
  • Use AI-assisted analytics to surface insights faster from Google Analytics and other platforms, then apply human judgment to validate findings before they inform strategy
  • Apply prompt engineering to accelerate first drafts of campaign briefs, reporting narratives, and client-ready summaries, while ensuring final output reflects Hiebing's voice and each client's requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive digital tasks (data pulls, reporting refreshes, tagging/QA checks, file organization) using AI and workflow automation tools
  • Represent Hiebing in a professional manner when communicating with clients
  • Communicate and track progress on projects to ensure deadlines are met – escalating issues, concerns and resource constraints to management when needed
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Familiarity with using Google Analytics (GA4)
  • Basic web troubleshooting skills using browser inspector tools or developer tools
  • Familiarity with web technologies – basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a plus
  • Curiosity about emerging AI tools and a willingness to experiment with automation in day-to-day workflows
  • Working knowledge of AI-enabled productivity tools for tasks such as scheduling, documentation, summarization, or reporting, with the ability to apply them thoughtfully in a digital project context
  • Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs, identify limitations or risks, and apply human judgment to ensure work remains accurate, ethical, and aligned with project and client requirements
  • General CMS knowledge a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must be detail-oriented, exceptionally organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced work environment
  • Proven time management, task prioritization and problem-solving skills
  • Take pride in work output
  • Self-motivated, proactive and curious
What Makes Someone Successful Here
  • You build on ideas with a “Yes, and” mindset
  • You bring curiosity and challenge thinking in a productive way
  • You care about both the work and the people behind it
  • You hold high standards and take ownership of outcomes
Benefits include: Hybrid work flexibility, health + dental insurance, paid parental leave, matching 401(k) + profit sharing, a professional development fund and many more! This position is a hybrid position.
