A Day in the LifeThe HR Analytics Consultant will be responsible for delivering data-driven insights, analytics and recommendations to internal stakeholders. In this role you will work closely with Senior HR leaders, business stakeholders, Finance partners, and the analytics team to support initiatives across talent management, talent acquisition, workforce planning, employe listening and inclusion and diversity. You will serve as a subject matter expert in talent data, leading multiple key projects that bridge HR and business objectives.
The ideal candidate brings experience in people analytics or HR analytics along with strong business analytics and financial acumen, including the ability to connect workforce trends to operational, financial and business performance. This individual is comfortable working with ambiguity, consulting with executive stakeholders, and translating complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities Include a mix of partnerships/consulting, analytics delivery and digital product delivery responsibilities such as:

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business stakeholders to understand business needs, frame analytical questions, develop hypotheses, and prioritize analyses that support workforce planning, headcount management, and other strategic decisions
  • Lead analytics consulting projects from intake and study design through analysis, narrative development, and executive presentation.
  • Manage custom research projects by identifying needs, defining a business case, exploring alternatives, analyzing data, using appropriate visualizations, and presenting to executives/decision-makers
  • Analyze governed workforce, operations and financial data to identify trends, risks, opportunities and key drivers across the employee lifecycle and business outcomes
  • Apply statistical, predictive, and root-cause analysis techniques to evaluate the impact of people initiatives and business actions
  • Translate complex data and analyses into clear, compelling visualizations and stories that inform decisions for both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency through enhanced reporting processes, scalable tools and self-service tools across HR teams
  • Drive adoption of new tools, dashboards, and digital capabilities by partnering with stakeholders to promote awareness usability, training feedback collection, and sustained usage across the HR and business community
  • Serve as the bridge between HR/business customers and the product team to translate user needs into product requirements, define enhancement needs and influence roadmap priorities
  • Stay informed on industry trends, benchmarks, and innovations in HR analytics, leveraging external research to identify best practices and support HR strategies

MUST HAVE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of analytics experience, including experience with HR analytics, or 5+ years with an advanced degree
  • Ability to communicate complex topics effectively with the ability to build strong work relationships and influence a broad set of stakeholders spanning multiple levels
  • Ability to define/build a business case, explore alternatives, analyze/visualize data, create an implementation plan/proposal to present to decision makers
  • Analytical ability to delve into details while maintaining a broader business perspective
  • Comfort presenting qualitative and quantitative research findings and offering recommendations and insights to executives
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, systems and data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities & project and prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders and explain data insights.

NICE TO HAVE:

  • Advanced degree in HR, Human Capital, I/O Psychology, Business or Data Science
  • HR analytics experience related to people, talent, or workforce analytics for executive level internal clients
  • Extensive experience presenting data and insight to executive level leaders
  • Ability to manage and analyze large quantities of complex data from a variety of sources
  • Business acumen/ experience with finance or business data/analytics
  • Experience utilizing visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Experience utilizing statistical software such as SPSS or R

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$156,800.00 - $235,200.00This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
