Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Advertising Sales Executive to join our marketing and advertising sales team. This individual will be responsible for driving revenue growth by selling total marketing solutions to our local business community and public agencies. Solutions include print and digital advertising, printing, email marketing and event sponsorships. The ideal candidate is a proven sales professional who is ambitious, customer-focused, and digitally savvy, with a passion for helping businesses succeed through creative and effective marketing solutions.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and referrals.
- Consult with clients to understand their business goals and recommend tailored advertising solutions across newsprint, digital display, social media, sponsored content, and other platforms.
- Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations to business owners, marketing managers, and decision-makers.
- Manage accounts post-sale by providing ongoing customer support, campaign analysis, and recommendations for future success.
- Collaborate internally with design, digital, and editorial teams to deliver creative, results-driven campaigns.
- Achieve or exceed monthly and annual sales goals through consistent pipeline management and disciplined sales activity.
- Stay current on industry trends in advertising, digital media, and competitive market activity.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 3โ5 years of B2B sales experience in advertising and marketing services a plus. Other industry experience is considered.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales quotas.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising platforms (display, programmatic, SEO/SEM, social media, sponsored content).
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and digital tools for sales tracking and reporting.
We offer free parking, medical, dental, vision, life and LTD and 401k. Paid vacation and holidays off with a flexible work schedule. The base rate is $23 an hour and with a 5% commission on all sales plus earned bonuses. On-target earning range from $65k - $80k per year. The first three months there is a guaranteed monthly commission.
