Job description

Hours: (full-time, 40 hrs/wk) M-Th, 8 am - 5 pm | Fr, 8 am - 2:30 pm(regular OT expected included weekends as needed)
Location:This position is located in Albany, NY - onsite work is required
Pay Range:$22 - $30

Digifabshop Finishers are responsible for implementing a wide variety of finishing applications and cosmetic repairs for wood, metal, and composite materials under the direction and guidance of the Finishing Lead. True perfectionists, Digifabshop finishers have an unparalleled eye for detail.
Duties / Responsibilities:
  • Sprays, brushes, or hand rubs finishing ingredients such as paint, oil, lacquer, stain, or wax onto wood, metal, and other materials
  • Operates, monitors and maintains Makor Q-One spray-finishing machine for production job finishing
  • Mixes and prepares finish according to manufacturer specifications and desired outcome
  • Prepares all surfaces to be finished and masks all areas where finish will not be applied
  • Treats, recolors, fills, or otherwise repairs damaged or defective areas in a variety of stock
  • Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner in accordance with OSHA industry standards
  • Examining finished products and finishing processes to evaluate their quality and effectiveness
  • Balance quality and timeliness while carrying out shop assignments; ensuring that finishing products are not wasted unnecessarily
  • Proficient in use of electronic communication.
  • Proactively seeks continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Meaningfully contribute to team meetings, training, policies, strategy and culture
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Education and Experience:
  • Previous experience, or on-the-job training required.
  • 1-2 years of relevant industry experience

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, fumes, and loud noises. Employees are always required to wear P.P.E. while on the manufacturing floor.
