Senior Cost Accountant | Dunlap, Iowa | $85K–$100K + Bonus & Benefits

A national, Midwest-based company is seeking a highly analytical accounting professional to support manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and operational finance functions within a complex multi-channel business environment. What You’ll Work On
Operational & Cost Accounting
  • Analyze manufacturing and operational cost drivers
  • Review labor, material, and overhead variances
  • Support margin analysis and profitability initiatives
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
Inventory & Reconciliation Support
  • Assist with inventory controls, reconciliations, and cycle counts
  • Support transportation and operational accounting functions
  • Strengthen internal processes and reporting accuracy
  • Participate in periodic onsite inventory oversight activities
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Prepare reconciliations, journal entries, and reporting schedules
  • Assist with sales tax, cash management, and compliance-related activities
  • Contribute to process improvement and system enhancement initiatives
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience within manufacturing, inventory-heavy, or operational environments preferred
  • Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • ERP system experience required
