Job description

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources Department, is accepting applications for at least one (1) Permanent, Full-Time, Dietetic Technician (Safety) position in the Nutrition Services Department under the direct supervision of the Dietetics Assistant Director.
The Dietetic Technician position is responsible for:
  • Assisting the Registered Dietitians in the development and implementation of nutritional interventions for the patient population.
  • Monitoring client/patient tolerance and acceptance of the diet.
  • Developing and presenting training programs for food service staff.
  • Running Computrition computer software for food production reports, and other related work.

Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.
