Line Cook, (Non-Exempt)
Hours: Part-Time Position, Every Other Weekend, 10:00am - 6:30pm
Starting Wage: $18.90
POSITION SUMMARY:
Prepares and serves meals according to menus prepared by the Dietary Manager, prescribed diets of the residents or dietary request by management. Ensures food is prepared, served, and stored using proper sanitation guidelines. Leads dietary personnel in maintaining cleanliness of work area and timeliness of meal service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepares and serves meals according to prepared menus, prescribed diets of the residents or dietary requests.
  • Checks menus to thaw meat and schedule prep work for the week.
  • Assists with clean up of pots and pans. Cleans and sanitizes work area on a daily basis.
  • Monitors and records temperatures of equipment and tray line.
  • Responsible for starting up and shutting down equipment in the kitchen.
  • Ensures correct diet order is served.
  • Supervises staff in absence of Dietary Manager.
  • Trains new employees.
  • Completes tasks on the cleaning list schedule.
  • Reports any problems to the Dietary Manager.
  • Puts away truck order when it comes in.
  • Supports the Mission, Vision, and values of Woodside Senior Communities.
  • Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all residents/tenants in a safe, secure environment.
  • Observes care in ensuring the confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee, and operations data as required by HIPAA/HITECH regulations.
  • Abides by all applicable statutes and regulations through compliance with the Woodside Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program.
  • Completes requirements for in-service training.
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned.
