Job Title: Platform Lead – Engine Development & Calibration
Location-Type: Remote - Up to 50% travel required to Sheboygan, WI
Start Date Is: ASAP
Duration: Permanent
Compensation Range: $113,000 – $144,000 bonus potential
Benefits: Eligible for Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. This position is not eligible for sponsorship .

Job Description:
Provide technical leadership across a diesel engine portfolio, supporting development, calibration, and ongoing product improvement initiatives.

Job Summary:

  • Lead diesel engine development and calibration activities across existing platforms
  • Serve as a technical liaison between internal teams and external engineering partners
  • Support engine performance, emissions, durability, and validation efforts
  • Provide technical guidance on engine components (e.g., turbochargers, pistons, cooling systems)
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and risk
  • Oversee engine testing, instrumentation, and data validation
  • Support emissions compliance and certification activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, procurement, and quality
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost optimization initiatives
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 7 years of experience in diesel engine development
  • Strong engine calibration experience (critical)
  • Deep understanding of combustion, emissions, performance, and durability
  • Hands-on experience with engine testing and instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of thermodynamics, stress analysis, and control systems
  • Experience leading technical initiatives or programs
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% to Sheboygan, WI
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in generator or power systems applications
  • Experience with emissions certification and regulatory compliance
  • Exposure to advanced fuels or multi-fuel engines
  • Prior experience as a Platform Engineer or similar leadership role
  • Experience with cost reduction or continuous improvement initiatives
