About this job...
Nosco is looking for a Die Cutting Operator at our Pleasant Prairie, WI Facility.
As an employee owner in this position, operate our carton die cutting asset in order to perform the second step of digital folding carton production. The purpose of this position is to produce digital folding cartons in order to meet on time delivery, high quality expectations, and in accordance to all customer specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
In this role, you will...
  • Set up and operates a carton die cutting press per SOPs, work instructions, and control riders.
  • Actively monitor production efficiency and quality while completing all documentation and reporting accurately.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems as it pertains to equipment and set up. Perform testing as required and understands what corrective actions could be necessary to achieve passing results.
  • Assist in minimizing the scope of remakes (identifying problems in a timely fashion through attributing and effectively communicating with downstream operators).
  • Perform clean-up/maintenance tasks in accordance with company SOP.
  • Perform and sustain a high rate of productivity. Meet expectations for set up time and run speeds as established by the department leads.

Success factors...
  • Preferably +2 years of die cutting experience or other technical skills operating machinery.
  • Experience with basic Quality systems and documentation.
  • Flexibility to work any shift and Overtime. Work in a fast pace environment with ability to deal with change.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read a ruler to 1/64"
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Physical requirements: Twisting, turning, squeezing, grasping, reaching, reaching over equipment, kneeling, crawling, pulling, extended periods of standing, ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Long periods of concentration.
  • Speaking, hearing and vision are also essentials to performing job functions.
