Job description

Die-Cut Operator (2nd Shift) - Manufacturing

Santa Ana, CA

The Die-cut Operator processes PCB layers, materials and final panels through the Die Cutting Machine and ensures that all jobs are processed in accordance with Team leader direction, Traveler information, work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

Please Note: The available work schedule consists of 2nd Shift hours (4:00pm - 12:30am); however, training will take place during the 1st shift (7:30am - 4:00pm).

What You'll Do:

  • Reviews SOPs, work instructions and the Traveler to ensure compliance with specifications; verifies that prior process was properly completed and that quantities match; scans job into PROCIM
  • Checks die storage location to obtain the proper die from storage area; verifies an F/A QC stamp on new dies
  • Visually inspects die and steel rule die blades for non-conformances
  • Creates holes around the tooling holes on new dies; installs pins to dies using a hammer and removes pins after the process
  • Preps the layers, materials or panels using proper die and wooden block and operates Die Cutting Machine, including start-up and turn-off; adjusts height of handle and cutting power as necessary
  • Signs off on the Traveler, logs out in ProCIM and moves finished parts to the next scheduled process
  • Perform other duties as required

What You'll Bring:

  • Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as travelers, standard operating procedure, instructions, and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
  • Must be detailed oriented and self-motivated
  • Must be able to remain focused with minor interruptions
  • Must be able to work overtime as required

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred
  • No experience required

Please note that in addition to frequent standing and walking, the work environment requires lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 25 pounds; as well as repetitive hand and finger motion.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Training Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm
  • Regular Schedule is 2nd Shift: 4:00pm to 12:30am
  • Overtime and Weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time / Permanent

California Pay Range

$17 - $19 USD

The actual compensation offered is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and other relevant business considerations.
