Job Description

We are looking for an Aluminum Die Cast Operator to help us meet our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping our company competitive and innovative. The Die Cast Operator will carry out needs of production by following Standard Operational Procedures for die casting, quality inspections, and maintaining the performance of the die cast machine.

Please note that all new hires must pass an employment drug screen prior to beginning work.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrates all essential Duties & Responsibilities in Die Casting
  • Start up and shut down die casting machines
  • Trim parts using a wire wheel, hand file, or other hand tools
  • Maintain the performance of the die cast machine and auxiliary equipment
  • Performing inspection of cast parts: Visual and with quality gauges.
  • Move materials with overhead crane and forklift
  • Load melt furnace and control process specifications such as furnace temperature
  • Independently performs quality inspection
  • Understand part flow within process and can identify abnormal process conditions.
  • Complete AGSS process loading, tag printing, and inputs NG scrap parts into AGSS system
  • Fill out Daily Production Reports.
  • Ensure downtime issues are recorded with description and correct downtime code. Also, records reject quantity and description.
  • Perform safety device system checks, performs equipment safety checks, and follow LOTO procedure.
    Maintains good housekeeping

Degree Requirement:
Welding certificate/degree - preferred

Other Requirement(s)

  • OSHA Safety Understanding
  • Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulics
  • Experience using hand tools such as angle grinder
  • Forklift Experience

Schedule:
8-hour shift
Day shift 8am-4pm
Monday to Friday
Position will start mid-October
