Job description

Job Summary
Seeking a caring, energetic individual to supervise and engage children in a fun, safe environment while parents use Trident Fitness.
Hours: Monday-Friday 4 pm-8 pm
Key Responsibilities
  • Child Supervision & Engagement
  • Monitor and interact with children at all times, ensuring none are left unattended.
  • Actively engage by promoting social, emotional, and cognitive development by observing, responding, and participating in play with the children.
  • Health Screening & Illness Management
  • Conduct visual health checks upon arrival; admit only children without visible signs of illness.
  • If symptoms develop during care, notify parents and require immediate removal.
  • Time-Limit Enforcement
  • Enforce a maximum stay of 1.5 hours per visit. Track check-in/check-out; remind parents.

Rules & Expectations
No cell phone use during shifts. Full focus on children's safety and engagement.
  • Wear provided Trident Fitness T-shirt (3 supplied) and jeans (no holes in jeans) and no shorts permitted
  • Never leave children unattended - non-negotiable safety policy.
  • Mandatory health screening: no entry for visibly sick children; immediate removal if symptoms appear.
  • Enforce the 1.5-hour maximum stay.
  • Engage actively and meaningfully with children to support their development.
  • Follow all Kids Club policies and escalate any incident or concern without delay to the Kids Club Coordinator.
  • Be open to adjusting shifts, especially during staff absences, holidays, or special events.
  • Diaper / Bathroom Policy
  • No diaper changes or bathroom assistance. Kids Club attendants do not change diapers or assist in restroom needs. Parents must be contacted for all diaper changes, and if a child needs assistance in the bathroom.
  • Facility Cleanliness & Maintenance
  • Sanitize play areas, toys, surfaces, and furniture regularly.
  • Keep room vacuumed
  • Clean Kids Club bathroom (sinks, counters, toilets, changing stations) and restock supplies.
  • Manage trash removal and general upkeep.
  • Administrative Tasks
  • Oversee child check-in/out; confirm guardian signatures.
  • Customer Service
  • Greet families warmly and address questions or concerns.
  • Immediately communicate any health, behavior, or facility incidents to parents and Kids Club Coordinator.
  • Qualifications
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
    • Childcare experience preferred.
    • Excellent communication, patience, reliability, and enthusiasm.
    • Ability to lift up to ~25 lbs; comfortable standing or moving for long periods.
