Position Summary
Diamond Care Transportation is seeking a reliable, safety focused Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for clients to and from medical appointments, treatments, and other approved destinations.
This role involves long distance travel, requiring excellent time management, navigation skills, and a professional demeanor when interacting with passengers and facility staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients between pick up and drop
off locations.
Assist passengers with boarding, securing mobility devices, and ensuring seat
belts are fastened.
Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle in accordance with
company and state requirements. Vehicle should remain clear of trash, non-
secured items, and personal items.
Maintain state and local traffic laws
Communicate professionally and respectfully with clients, caregivers, and staff.
Accurately complete trip logs and mileage reports
Handle client concerns or issues in a courteous and solution orientated manner.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Minimum age requirement of 21
High School Diploma or GED
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
Previous driving experience preferred, especially in passenger or medical
transportation
CPR and First Aid Certification preferred
Knowledge of multi-state roadways, travel regulations, and safe driving
practices

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by
an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Ability to sit for extended periods while driving, sometimes for several hours at
a time.
Frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching to assist passengers and to secure
equipment
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 Ibs., including mobility aids such as
wheelchairs, walkers, or oxygen tanks.
Capability to assist passengers with limited mobility in entering and existing
vehicles, including use of wheelchair ramps or lifts.
Adequate vision and hearing to operate a vehicle safely and interact with
passengers
Occasional exposure to inclement weather during pick up and drop off.
Quiet, client-facing, environment. Low to moderate noise level.
Work Schedule
Drivers should be available 6 days a week. 5 scheduled days and 1 on-call day.
