RESPONSIBILITIES
The position will perform clerical duties, answering calls, bookkeeping, typing or word processing, office machine operation and other job duties. Conduct new hire orientations, record data for employee documentation. Compile and reconcile employee time and payroll data, track benefit time and attendance. The following are core essential functions of the position:
• Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, distribute or explain information, and address complaints.
• Answer telephones, direct calls and take messages.
• Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
• Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems and personal computers.
• Open, sort and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail.
• Deliver messages and run errands.
• Inventory and order materials, supplies, and services.
• Explain company personnel policies, benefits, and procedures to employees or job applicants.
• Complete, verify, and process forms and documentation for administration of benefits such as 401k and insurance benefits and forward to Corporate.
• Process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, and classifications and forward to Corporate.
• Answer employee questions regarding examinations, eligibility, salaries, benefits, and other pertinent information.
• Inform job applicants of their acceptance or rejection of employment.
• Arrange for in-house training activities and employment testing.
• Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs.
• Prepare badges and perform other security-related duties
• Review time sheets and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
• Record employee information changes, transfers, resignations/termination, and new hires and update Corporate.
• Reliable attendance.
• Comply with all company standards, rules and policies.
• Other tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years related experience including experience with human resources is preferred.
