High-Impact Leadership Role in Behavioral Health

Envision Unlimited is seeking a licensed (or license-eligible) behavioral health leader to join our team as an Assistant Director of Residential Services. This role is ideal for experienced clinicians ready to advance into mental health leadership, program management, and supervision.


Role Overview

The Assistant Director provides clinical leadership, program oversight, and staff supervision for residential mental health programs, ensuring recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and compliant care delivery.

Key Responsibilities (SEO-Optimized)

Leadership & Program Management

  • Oversee mental health residential programs and daily operations
  • Supervise behavioral health staff, clinicians, interns, and House Managers
  • Ensure compliance with DHS, CARF, Medicaid, and Illinois regulations
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll approvals, and workforce coverage
  • Lead hiring, training, onboarding, and performance management
  • Monitor KPIs, productivity metrics, and program outcomes

Clinical Oversight

Requirements:

Masterโ€™s Degree in: 

  • Social Work (MSW)
  • Counseling
  • Psychology or related field
  • LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT (or actively pursuing licensure)
  • 5+ years of behavioral health / social services experience
  • 1+ year of supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience with: 
    • Mental health residential programs
    • Crisis intervention
    • Medicaid/community mental health settings (highly preferred)
