IT Specialist - Linux System Administrator โ€“ Secret Clearance
OM Group, Inc. is a fast-growing Microsoft Azure and AWS Partner delivering full-stack cloud services for Federal & DoD clients. We are building a Data Center Sustainment and Modernization Center of Excellence (DCM-CoE) to continue and evolve on-prem/cloud/hybrid application hosting platforms, automate application on-boarding processes, modernize compute and storage architecture design, improve system and infrastructure cybersecurity posture, and implement strong quality and configuration management practices. We are looking for an experienced Linux System Administrator to join our team. This position is in Ogden, UT.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provision, install, configure, patch, upgrade, and manage virtual and physical Red Hat Linux-based systems and servers

  • Install and configure customer applications in the Red Hat Linux environment

  • Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Linux based Hypervisors for virtualization

  • Manage data security, configure user access, and maintain the stability of the system

  • Perform security remediation, based on scans and logs, and conduct standard maintenance such as firewall configuration, and performance tuning

  • Assess the stability, security, and scalability of installed Linux systems and discuss system and server upgrades with IT managers and customers

  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for staff and back-end system users

  • Review system error logs and user-reported errors

  • Make updates to system related installation documentation

  • Perform end-user support

Requirements:

  • Active DoD Secret Security clearance

  • BA/BS

  • 5+ Years of Experience

  • Security + CE

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator

  • Skill Level: Intermediate
