About the role

Join our Development Platforms portfolio as a DevOps II (Support & Operations)

We are expanding our Support and Operations team within the Development Platforms portfolio to provide reliable production support for all our products and services. In this role, you'll help keep critical platforms running smoothly by responding to incidents, improving observability, supporting CI/CD operations, and contributing to defect fixes in Java-based applications. If you enjoy troubleshooting, collaborating under pressure, and continuously improving operational practices, we'd like to meet you.

What you'll do here:

  • Handle production incidents end-to-end (triage, severity assessment, escalation, stakeholder communications, and documentation).
  • Implement and test low to moderately complex code changes to fix defects in Java-based applications.
  • Use monitoring and logging basics to accelerate troubleshooting and contribute to root cause analysis (RCA).
  • Support cloud-based environments and build exposure to providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Follow governance and compliance practices (data classification, PII handling).
  • Contribute to proof-of-concept (PoC) activities for vendor selection (scope, success criteria, recommendation, documentation).
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates, communicate clearly, and stay calm and structured during high-severity events.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of overall experience (intermediate profile), ideally in operations, support, DevOps, or software engineering.
  • Expert level experience with Java applications (implementing and testing defect fixes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging concepts and incident management practices.
  • Exposure to cloud concepts and at least one cloud provider (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Foundational knowledge of Kubernetes and containers (Docker).
  • CI/CD fundamentals (Git, Jenkins; ability to interpret pipeline results and logs).
  • Awareness of security and compliance basics (secrets, access controls, encryption, auditability; PII/data handling).
  • Strong soft skills: clear communication, teamwork, good documentation habits, and composure under pressure.
  • Relevant technology certifications (asset).
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
  • No Canadian work experience required, but you must be eligible to work in Canada.
