DevOps Engineer – Mid

Location: Huntsville, AL
Clearance Required: Active Top Secret
Experience Level: Mid-Level (Minimum 5 Years)
Education Required: Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.)


Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly skilled DevOps Engineer – Mid to support critical cybersecurity infrastructure in Huntsville, AL. This individual will help design, deploy, and maintain DevSecOps tools and platforms, ensuring secure and seamless development, integration, and deployment workflows across various environments. Candidates should have strong Linux administration skills, cloud experience, and a working knowledge of cybersecurity-related technologies and infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, test, and certify DevSecOps infrastructure tools, including all operating systems, libraries, components, and dependencies.
  • Serve as a primary Operations and Maintenance (O&M) engineer for multiple infrastructure tools and services.
  • Use Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platforms to deploy and configure scalable, secure services.
  • Configure and manage Linux-based servers, supporting dynamic web and backend services.
  • Debug and troubleshoot cluster-based computing environments and architectures.
  • Use scripting and programming (e.g., Python) to automate and resolve operational issues.
  • Install, configure, and manage open-source monitoring tools and other performance-related services.
  • Ensure systems meet cybersecurity compliance and RMF requirements where applicable.
  • Contribute to continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) workflows.


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related roles.
  • Strong experience with Linux-based environments (Red Hat preferred).
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, ALB, Terraform, CloudFormation, Databricks, AWS Redis, Springboot, PKI
  • Hands-on experience in deploying, testing, maintaining, and administering cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to create, modify, and maintain computer applications or specialized cybersecurity programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • Active Top Secret Clearance required.


Certifications:

  • Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA)
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Associate


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating third-party tools, enhancing capabilities, modifying existing code, and automating O&M processes.
  • Familiarity with Splunk, Oracle/SQL-based platforms, and Python scripting.
  • Understanding of secure CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native tooling, and compliance standard.
