Job description

Job Title: Sr Project Manager / Engineering Capital Projects Location: York, PA Type: Direct Hire Work Model: Onsite

Responsibilities

  • Oversee assigned automation or engineering projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery aligned with scope, budget, and quality standards.
  • Define project parameters, review contract requirements, and ensure adherence from internal teams and third-party contractors.
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules and budgets, track progress, and maintain target business margins.
  • Identify risks, assumptions, dependencies, issues, and opportunities (RADIOs), proactively mitigating and resolving problems to ensure project success.
  • Source quotations, review specifications, coordinate vendor orders, and collaborate with procurement to meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Lead factory acceptance testing (FAT) activities and ensure deliverables meet all safety, sanitary, and quality standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and briefings for stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate customer meetings, serving as the primary liaison among all project parties.
  • Manage installation and commissioning of systems at client sites, including site visits and on-site management.
  • Continuously improve project processes based on lessons learned and industry best practices.
  • Participate in trade shows, seminars, and stay current with relevant automation and project management innovations.
  • Assist in training and mentoring new team members and project managers to build a strong, knowledgeable team.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to meet organizational goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of industry-related project management experience.
  • Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and MS Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and ERP software.
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and effectively interact with personnel at all levels, including clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% for business needs.
  • Must have a valid passport or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 25 lbs and perform manual tasks as needed.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
