Position Summary

TenCate is seeking a US-based IT Project Manager to support its newly formed IT Project Management Office. This position will manage a variety of technical and business-transformation projects, including the implementation and deployment of enterprise software throughout the organization.

Project responsibilities include the technical onboarding of acquired companies, local and global software implementations, and continuous-improvement initiatives involving external partners, IT staff, and end users.

The IT Project Manager will collaborate with teams across departments, business units, and the international IT organization to ensure projects are completed successfully and aligned with TenCate’s business objectives and project-governance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage business-application projects from planning through implementation, deployment, and closeout.

  • Coordinate project teams, budgets, timelines, resources, deliverables, and competing priorities.

  • Manage the implementation and deployment of enterprise software solutions across the organization.

  • Support the technical onboarding and systems integration of newly acquired companies.

  • Coordinate internal resources, external partners, IT staff, and end users throughout project lifecycles.

  • Communicate project expectations, progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders across business units and IT teams.

  • Collaborate with international IT colleagues to support alignment on global initiatives.

  • Identify project risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.

  • Ensure solutions meet established quality standards and support defined business objectives.

  • Conduct post-mortem reviews and apply lessons learned to future projects.

  • Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to project-governance standards.

  • Deliver project-status updates and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Use Azure DevOps to manage project workflows, tasks, and documentation.

  • Propose process improvements and support the adoption and standardization of IT PMO best practices.

Qualifications and Experience
  • At least five years of proven Project Management experience within the software-development or IT industry.

  • Experience managing Microsoft Business Central, Salesforce, and Power BI implementations or upgrades.

  • Experience managing technical and business-transformation projects within a global IT organization.

  • Experience using Azure DevOps to manage projects.

  • Experience working with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.

  • Strong understanding of project-governance practices and standards.

  • Strong understanding of business consulting, change management, and IT-governance concepts.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams, external partners, and business stakeholders.
