Mobile DevOps Manager
We are looking for a Manager for our In-Person-Payments Tooling team. The team is based in Chicago, you will be guiding the vision and execution for the CI/CD Engineering aspect ensuring smooth and efficient software development and deployment processes.
As a Manager, your primary focus is to create and enable a high performing platform engineering team. You will oversee the development of tools and applications that manage the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) for our Android and iOS applications. You will ensure your team successfully collaborates with the infrastructure teams, handling Kubernetes clusters to provide an elevated SDLC experience for the entire organization. You will also stay close to your users and deliver the most impactful initiatives for their developer experience.
What You'll Do
  • Technical Leadership: Lead a team of DevOps and Infrastructure Engineers in designing and implementing high-performance CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, Gradle, KMP, and Develocity.
  • Strategic Oversight: Define the roadmap for automating build processes, caching optimizations, and security scanning to ensure software deployment remains smooth and efficient.
  • Mentorship & Growth: Actively coach engineers in troubleshooting complex build failures and developing an "automation-first" mindset.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary point of contact between mobile developers and infrastructure teams to ensure tooling health, monitoring, and alerting are seamlessly integrated.
  • Process Excellence: Champion quality-focused initiatives, ensuring the CI/CD pipeline remains the organization's first line of defense for code stability.

  • Experienced People Leader: You have a proven track record (3+ years) as a Technical Manager or Team Lead. You know how to manage performance, foster career growth, and maintain team velocity.
