Job Description:

Note: Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

The Role

Fidelity's Associate IT organization is seeking a highly motivated Senior Cloud Engineer to help transform how enterprise virtual desktop and end user computing platforms are engineered, automated, secured, and operated at scale.

We are a dynamic engineering organization focused on leveraging cloud technologies, automation, orchestration, and modern engineering practices to improve productivity, resiliency, and experience of Fidelity associates worldwide.

The ideal candidate combines deep infrastructure expertise with a software engineering mindset. You will translate infrastructure and operational requirements into scalable automated solutions that reduce manual effort, improve service reliability, strengthen disaster recovery readiness, and enable low-touch and zero-touch operational models.

You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers, Security teams, and Operations partners to design, build, automate, and continuously improve enterprise platforms supporting thousands of users across Fidelity.

  • Design, implement, and support scalable cloud, infrastructure, and virtual desktop platforms.
  • Develop automation, orchestration, and self-remediation solutions to improve reliability, resiliency, and operational efficiency.
  • Standardize infrastructure, cloud services, endpoint platforms, and operational processes through automation and engineering best practices.
  • Implement monitoring, observability, reporting, compliance, and governance solutions that improve platform visibility and operational health.
  • Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity capabilities that reduce risk and improve recovery readiness.
  • Enhance platform security, compliance, and resiliency through proactive engineering and lifecycle management.
  • Optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and operational readiness through continuous modernization and automation initiatives.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms.
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure solutions within large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with End User Computing (EUC), Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), and Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS) technologies.
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, and infrastructure standardization practices.
  • Experience designing and supporting disaster recovery, business continuity, and platform resiliency solutions.
  • Experience developing and maintaining security, compliance, monitoring, and governance controls across enterprise environments.
  • Experience building automation, orchestration, and self-healing infrastructure solutions that improve scalability and operational efficiency.
  • Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure and platform administration.
  • Enterprise virtual desktop technologies, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Citrix, Omnissa/Workspace ONE, VMware Horizon, and OLVM.
  • PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, and infrastructure automation/orchestration frameworks.
  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or equivalent tools).
  • Windows Enterprise operating systems, image management, and endpoint management technologies.
  • Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, and security services.
  • Configuration management, compliance automation, and governance frameworks.
  • Disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and resiliency technologies.
  • Networking fundamentals, performance tuning, monitoring, observability, and operational analytics.
  • Operational reporting, remediation, and automation platforms.
  • AI-assisted engineering tools used to accelerate infrastructure automation, monitoring, and operational management.

The Team

Associate IT delivers Fidelity associates with secure, reliable, and scalable access to the technology and services they need, regardless of time, location, or device. Through architecture, engineering, automation, and operational excellence, we provide modern end-user computing platforms that enable productivity, strengthen resiliency, and support Fidelity's continued technology evolution.
