Job description

About the Role

As our CNC Grinding Production Engineer, you'll design the fixtures, tools, and programs for producing new and re-imagined turbine engine components. From new product development to process maturity, you'll partner with other engineering staff, operations, and quality to launch new equipment, provide production support, and drive continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop fixturing, tooling, and CNC programs for grinding turbine engine components, and support new equipment installs at the facility.
  • Partner with Operations and Quality to deliver perfect-part quality on time, every time.
  • Apply Lean and CI tools to optimize processes, drive measurable business impact, and build KPIs that keep performance on track.
  • Own the technical lifecycle of assigned components and processes — from concept through production — including troubleshooting, sustaining improvements, and training.
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, and quality teams to hit site Safety, Quality, and Production targets.
  • Write clear technical reports, specs, and procedures, and mentor less-experienced engineers and technicians.
  • Split your time between the office and the shop floor, with occasional travel.

What You Bring

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical or Aerospace preferred) with 2+ years of CNC experience.
  • Hands-on experience with multi-axis grinding or milling (Makino, Blohm, or similar) and a solid understanding of G/M code is preferred
  • Experience in 3D CAD and CAM programming (Siemens NX is preferred).
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and manufacturing specs.
  • Familiarity with fixturing/tooling design and a variety of measurement techniques (CMM, white-light/laser scanning, gages).
  • Working knowledge of gas turbine and airfoil manufacturing (casting, machining, inspection) is preferred
  • Bonus: knowledge of FAA PMA and RS-DER requirements, plus program management fundamentals.
  • Strong, thoughtful communicator who thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.
