Summary of Purpose:
In Datacenter and Cloud Operations, this DevOps Engineer, internally referred to as an Enterprise Engineer II, is responsible for technical aspects of the existing INPO datacenter infrastructure on-prem and IaaS, cloud platform web integrations, security, and data protection within these respective environments. The incumbent in this role is a core role level member of the IT Infrastructure Engineering Team; they will be accountable for architecting and maintaining datacenter infrastructure critical to the successful operation of Enterprise IT.
Essential Functions
  • Provides leadership in the strategic development of datacenter infrastructure
  • Manages system integration by providing architecture, vision, problem anticipation, and problem solving
  • Leads presentations, communication efforts to the business, senior leadership, and peers to promote products, services and platforms related to IT infrastructure
  • Collaborates with senior IT and business management to define enterprise systems and architecture that support the needs of INPO strategy, policies, and procedures
  • Gathers, analyzes, and reports key performance metrics to inform business decisions
  • Fosters effective collaboration through clear, timely communication with cross-functional teams
  • Act as the technical lead for one or more project teams - conducts research and analysis and provides recommendations and guidance to project managers and team members
  • Mentors staff in business analysis and project management methods and models
  • Works with subject matter experts, other IT staff, and Business Analysts to analyze, understand and document system requirements
  • Collaborates with IT Project Managers on release planning, task estimation and timeline development
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Education, Licenses, and Certifications
Required
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
  • Certifications in Linux administration, IT networking fundamentals, IT security practices, Infrastructure as Code, etc.

Experience
Required
  • Five or more years of professional work experience
  • Three or more years of experience in datacenter, data protection, cloud, infrastructure as code and security operations

Preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in datacenter, data protection, cloud, infrastructure as code, security operations, and supporting back-end architecture
  • Two or more years of experience with IT project management methodologies
  • Three or more years of relevant large-scale enterprise transformation experience as relates to datacenter architecture. Deep knowledge of various enterprise level datacenter and security platforms widely used in the industry.
  • Three or more Associate level experience in Cloud and underlying technologies (infrastructure as code, security, networking, Azure, etc.)
