We are looking for a Social Worker to provide clinical assessment and treatment of clients with various mental health diagnoses, substance use disorders, medication-assisted treatment, and high-risk patients in crisis. Minimum Qualifications Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus: A master's degree in social work followed by one year of social services experience. Job Specification The official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found here. Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Completes intake and psycho-social evaluations on primarily adults and some aftercare individuals, which includes providing technical and clinical input on diagnosis and treatment in the interdisciplinary staff consultation with staff prescribers to establish an individual's treatment plan for each individual in treatment.

Completes correspondence, written reports, and other communications with other agencies regarding an individual's care May provide crisis evaluation for individuals who are in acute distress as indicated by a family member, coroner, law authorities, etc., which may require complex and specialized crisis intervention, psychosocial evaluation, and specialized clinical treatment. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type: Probational Appointment or Job Appointment Compensation: This position is eligible for premium pay of $1.00/hour for hours worked performing direct patient care. The following rates are Special Entrance Rates (SER) established for this agency in these job titles: Social Worker 2: $21.27/hour minimum - $36.14/hour maximum Social Worker 3: $22.76/hour minimum - $38.67/hour maximum Social Worker 4: $24.35/hour minimum - $41.38/hour maximum Career Progression: Social Worker 2, Social Worker 3 or a Social Worker 4 Location: Denham Springs Behavioral Health Clinic in Denham Springs, Louisiana We strongly recommend that individuals who have substance abuse treatment experience or have passed the ADC, AADC, or EMAC exam at the time of appointment apply to this posting
