Job Description/Responsibilities
As Market Development Representative, you'll own a territory of off-premise accounts (grocery, convenience, and liquor stores) and play a direct role in growing Sazerac's presence on shelves and in carts. This is a field-based sales role where you'll build relationships, influence buying decisions, and execute programs that drive distribution, visibility, and volume. If you're motivated by hitting goals, managing your own territory, and seeing the direct impact of your work in-store, this role offers a clear path for growth within a high-performing sales organization.
What You'll Do:
  • Drive territory sales growth by increasing distribution, shelf presence, and promotional execution across assigned accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail partners and act as a trusted advisor on category insights and product assortment
  • Partner with distributors to execute in-store selling strategies, merchandising plans, and promotions
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and adjust account plans to deliver results
  • Own performance against key metrics including volume, distribution, and display execution

Qualifications/Requirements
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of field sales experience OR if recent graduate, relevant sales or marketing internship or similar sales experience
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within assigned territory

Preferred:
  • Previous alcohol-beverage or CPG sales experience
  • Experience using sales data analytics or reporting tools
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets or KPIs

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
