POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Operations Engineering Technician Electrical supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. The Operations Engineering Technician Electrical in the electrical field supports engineers in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Involved in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components and systems, and in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs.
  • Provides technical support for planning and design projects impacting existing facilities and infrastructure. Incumbent is responsible for ensuring that Government projects are completed and provide maintainable facilities for the various Operations Shops as defined and specified in contractual documents.
  • Provides input to Engineering regarding the requirements for obsolete equipment replacement projects for Asset Management Plans (AMPs).
  • Develops knowledge of Sustainment Management Systems (SMS) systems used by the government to track equipment conditions such as Builder, Paver, ACES IWIMS, TRIRIGA and Roofer. Ensures systems are updated as new equipment data becomes available.
  • Reviews and assists shop supervisors in planning their PM program and improving AF PMTLs.
  • Develops SOWs, interfaces with customers, contractors for performance and Monitors work to ensure it is completed in a satisfactory manner and results are entered into govt CMMS systems.
  • The incumbent will utilize knowledge and experience in the Electrical specialized areas.
  • Keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered and identify and reports safety, environmental and other work requirements for resolution.
  • Incumbent is responsible for performing maintainability, compatibility, and operability reviews of renovation and alteration designs.
  • Participates in Pre-Final and/or Final Inspections for projects nearing Beneficial Occupancy Date (BOD) and must become familiar with new equipment and identify O&M concerns, which shall be addressed prior to finalization of the project/s.
  • Attends O&M training for completed construction projects.
  • Provides equipment and life cycle costing data necessary for programming outyear maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Provides recommendations for modifications to schedules of existing equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Understands the basics of Predictive, Preventive and Reliability Centered Maintenance principles.
  • Uses Microsoft Office Suite applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Access) to correspond through email, develop documentation supporting Operations Engineering programs and build & manipulate real property equipment databases/spreadsheets.
  • Provides shop-level recommendations of facilities requiring assessments for upcoming years.
  • Ensures SMS database program information in support of Maintenance Master Plan (MMP) is properly captured with equipment assessment information gathered by respective technicians.
  • Provides shop-level technical support for the development and maintenance of infrastructure programs and AMPs by providing condition assessment reports from performed PM maintenance of equipment.
  • Provides technical support to prioritize Asset Management Plan (AMP) data calls from higher headquarters.
  • Utilizes and interprets technical manuals, shop directives, blueprints, sketches, diagrams, specifications, verbal and written instructions.
  • Documents records of inspections, maintenance and repairs as required.
  • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
  • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
  • Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Accountable for accurate, timely, and cost effective performance of duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associates Degree related to Electrical, or seven (7) years' verifiable experience as a journeyman in an Electrical field
  • Oklahoma Journeyman's License with minimum of seven (7) years' experience in applicable trade.
  • Current state driver's license, acceptable driving record, proof of valid insurance.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted industry standards of workmanship in construction & maintenance of facilities, grounds, and infrastructure systems.
  • Working knowledge of site work, electrical, and general facilities and facilities maintenance activities in the Electrical trade
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards.
  • Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes, UFC and standards, as applicable.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.
  • The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Lifts exceeding 50 pounds will be accomplished with two man teams and using appropriate safety equipment to efficiently accomplish the task.
  • The employee must be able to work in confined spaces or at heights of 120 feet (such as in a man-lift/boom-lift).
  • Perform duties related to infrastructure, real property installed equipment and assets including but not limited to electrical systems and equipment; sound and security systems, fire alarm systems, vertical transportation equipment, cathodic protection, wiring, lighting, motors, and power generating equipment. As workloads dictate, the individual may be required to inspect/manage service contract projects that are not primarily electrical in nature.

  • Knowledge of environmental issues relating to contractual requirements
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Previous experience working on a military installation within the Civil Engineering organization
  • Experience working on Tinker facilities

Pay rate: $35.04 per hour
