Job description

Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Digital Operations Associate specializing in Web Operations to support the execution, optimization, and maintenance of digital experiences across our web ecosystem. This role is ideal for early career professionals who have hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and are passionate about building seamless digital customer journeys.
Alkermes has adopted a hybrid working environment to support and meet the needs of employees and this role will operate in a flexible environment with 60% of time in the office and 40% from home.
Responsibilities
Web Content Operations (AEM)
  • Build, edit, and publish content using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) components, templates, and workflows
  • Ensure content accuracy, localization readiness, and timely publishing across sites. Support development partner and internal stakeholders for seamless end-to-end website update process

Platform Troubleshooting & Support
  • Diagnose and resolve authoring, rendering, and publishing issues within AEM and connected third-party services (e.g. Wistia, Google Analytics, OneTrust, web plugins)
  • Triage and/or log appropriate tickets; replicate issues, document root cause, and coordinate fixes with development and IT platform teams
  • Maintain a runbook of common issues, resolutions, and escalation paths

Site Performance & Optimization
  • Monitor page performance (Core Web Vitals, load times, asset weight); recommend optimizations for images, scripts, caching, and component use
  • Partner with development vendor to improve template/component efficiency and reduce technical debt
  • Conduct regular audits to identify broken links, orphaned pages, component misuse, and accessibility defects
  • Stay current on digital best practices, emerging technologies, and optimization strategies

Qualifications
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, web operations, or content publishing

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), or similar content management system (CMS) including authoring, workflows, and component-based content creation
  • Familiarity with web fundamentals: HTML, CSS, UX principles, and content management best practices
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues across systems and document clear steps for resolution
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; able to manage multiple requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and marketers
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, SEMrush or Screaming Frog) and QA testing tools such as BrowserStack
  • Understanding of SEO principles, metadata, and site taxonomy best practices
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and digital compliance requirements
  • Experience with digital asset management (DAM) systems
  • Basic knowledge of performance optimization techniques and Core Web Vitals
  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, biotech, or other regulated industries
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours based on business requirements

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $60k to $70k. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual performance pay bonus.
