Vaco by Highspring has partnered with our client who is looking to hire an Operations Associate to join their team Where: Boston, MA Hybrid, 3 days onsite/week Permanent Job Opportunity $75K-$120K Position Summary This position is responsible for supporting a variety of functions within the Investment Operations team. The role works closely with Investment, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance teams to coordinate and execute transaction settlement activities, maintain accurate portfolio records, manage cash movements, and support operational processes across investment vehicles. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and technical skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

This individual will play a key role in ensuring operational accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Investment Operations Coordinate and support the settlement of investment transactions, including review of trade allocations, legal documentation, and funding requirements. Partner with investment professionals and finance teams to facilitate transaction closings and related operational activities.

Maintain relationships with counterparties, custodians, trustees, administrators, and banking partners to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing. Research and resolve trade and cash discrepancies while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. Monitor and maintain investment records, including principal repayments, drawdowns, interest payments, accruals, and other portfolio activity.

Execute and document wire transfers and cash movements in accordance with established procedures and controls. Ensure investment accounting and portfolio management systems accurately reflect portfolio activity and holdings. Support reconciliation processes and ongoing data integrity initiatives.

General Operations Assist with the onboarding of new funds, accounts, and service providers. Coordinate with Finance, Treasury, and Operations teams on cash management activities and banking transactions. Monitor operational compliance requirements and assist in resolving exceptions or control-related issues.

Prepare recurring operational, cash management, and portfolio reports for internal stakeholders. Support liquidity management activities, including funding requests, capital activity, and cash forecasting. Assist in the development, implementation, and enhancement of operational policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Support external audit requests, testing procedures, and other regulatory or compliance-related reviews. Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.

5–8 years of experience in investment operations, fund operations, financial services, asset management, banking, or a related environment. Experience supporting investment transaction processing, portfolio operations, or fund administration preferred. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency with financial systems and databases.

Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across functional teams.
