Tectonic, a multi-disciplined professional engineering firm, is currently seeking a full-time Business Development / Marketing Associate to join our Forest Hills, NY Office.
This position offers excellent opportunity for professional growth and development!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential functions include the preparation and coordination of proposals, statements of qualifications, and associated marketing materials for professional services. This role works closely with technical staff to translate complex technical concepts into clear written and graphic content while ensuring compliance with client and agency requirements. Additional responsibilities include assisting with and/or leading the development of marketing collateral, maintaining and improving BD department resources, proofreading, editing, quality control, and other related tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS Degree or equivalent in Communications, Business/Marketing, Graphic Design, English, Literature, or similar, or any other suitable combination of experience, education amp; training;
  • Experience using graphic design and layout tools to develop marketing and BD materials preferred; proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (especially InDesign) and Microsoft Office Suite Required;
  • Excellent planning, writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines;
  • Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline driven atmosphere.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
In order to perform the essential functions of this position, the candidate must be able to constantly assume a stationary position, and must handle and/or feel documents, materials, and/or equipment to perform necessary tasks, sometimes repetitively. The candidate must be able to occasionally maneuver within the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc., and may exert up to 15 lbs. of force occasionally. Constantly, they must be able to receive and convey detailed or important information with others via the Corporate e-mail system, telephone system, and in person. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job. Tectonic’s goal is to compensate employees fairly and equitably across all positions Companywide.
