JTG is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company with over 30 years of experience supporting U.S. government agencies. We provide language services, analytics, and training services to clients across defense, law enforcement, and civilian agencies.
About the Role: JTG is looking for a energetic, relationship-driven Business Development Manager to add opportunities and maintain JTG pipeline. This is a hunter role, as you will own early-stage BD: finding opportunities, getting in front of the right people, and building the relationships that put us in a position to win. The CEO handles executive-level closing; you handle everything upstream.
Location: Reston, VA (flexible hybrid work environment)
Status: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and qualify federal contracting opportunities 12-24 months before award
  • Build relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and agency stakeholders
  • Attend industry days, small business events, and agency matchmaking sessions
  • Evaluate and pursue teaming arrangements with partners and subcontractors
  • Develop capability statements and other pre-proposal positioning materials
  • Maintain a live pipeline and report BD metrics to the CEO monthly
  • Hand off qualified opportunities to our Proposal Operations team with full capture context

Minimum Requirements:
  • 5+ years of federal BD or capture experience in a services environment
  • Proven record of winning opportunities you identified that resulted in contract awards
  • Working knowledge of the federal procurement lifecycle
  • Strong communicator; comfortable making cold calls, attending events, and building from scratch

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior military, DoD civilian, or intelligence community background
  • Experience in language services, professional services, or defense support contracting
  • Active Top Secret clearance preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Familiarity with federal market intelligence and CRM tools, GovWin, and Deltek,

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base salary: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience
  • Performance bonus tied to milestones (pipeline development, qualified opportunities handed off, and contract awards)
