Job Description Summary

This position aims to strengthen the Americas team by providing solutions that meet customer needs and requirements in the field of architectural coatings. The role will involve supporting sales of the existing portfolio and participating in the development of new materials or the improvement of existing grades by conducting thorough laboratory test series in accordance with customer requirements and internal or external standards. Supporting product qualification, generating data to validate customer complaints, and screening raw materials as needed will also be regular activities. While a certain level of autonomy is expected for this role, all activities will be guided and supervised by the Manager, Head of Innovation Delivery, Architectural Coatings

Job Description

  • Hands-on lab work in the preparation and testing of architectural formulations based on existing starting formulations.
  • Support the design and execute of customer- and non customer-related projects and discuss/communicate the project status and results with the relevant stakeholders. Maintaining a record of all lab project by using existing software and databases used by the Organization.
  • Support the update of test formulas regarding newer raw materials and market trends.
  • Work with R&D, manufacturing and procurement departments to provide support for development and selection of new candidates, pilot trials, process improvement, non-qualified products, customer complaints and new raw materials.
  • Support the commercial team by actively generating data to update product portfolio and new business opportunities (NBO).
  • Support of the marketing department in creation of promotional data for product launches, fairs and congresses.
  • Support the management of projects using accurately the project management tools adopted by the Organization to plan, track, and communicate activities.
  • Participate actively in the lab safety and management, equipment set-up and maintenance and chemical management activities in accordance to existing ELEMENTIS HSE and lab instructions.
