You'll be helping set up and run reliability and accelerated life tests, collecting and analyzing performance and failure data, and assisting in rootcause investigations to improve robustness of many components that make up an ion implanter. You'll help contribute to reliability reports, create and edit test plans and other documentation, and help identify process improvements, while gaining exposure to tools and methods like statistical analysis software, test equipment, and failure analysis techniques. You'll focus on collaboration through engagement with crossfunctional teams - such as design, quality, manufacturing, and field service - to ensure products meet reliability goals and support continuous improvement efforts.

What You'll Do

  • Performing reliability modeling, reliability and quality statistical data analysis and calculations to evaluate new products and assess install base performance
  • Performing testing in our Reliability Lab, including setting up fixtures and instrumentation, logging and reporting results including monitoring and maintaining equipment
  • Aiding failure analysis and determination of root causes for Axcelis products, disassembling electromechanical assemblies for inspection and analysis, and documenting findings and corrective actions in Failure Analysis reports
  • Creating test procedures, reports, and presentations that include data summaries and conclusions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to increase the useful life and robustness of components and assemblies in a complex system like ion implanter and recommending ways to improve field supportability
