As a Chemist II, responsibilities include providing the support to the Laboratories of Best Formulations to ensure that the testing have been performed as per Best Formulations written Standard Operation Procedures, Analytical Procedures, and/or USP/NF Compendia under strict supervision of either senior chemist or lab supervisor/ manager.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions. Essential job functions and duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Perform analytical tests of raw material, in-process, and finished products;
  • Perform wet chemistry methods, HPLC, GC, ICP, ICP/MS, GC/MS Dissolution test, UV, GC-MS and/or ICP-MS;
  • Document test results, problems and other issues, perform troubleshooting of issues that arise during analysis;
  • Follow GLP, GDP, GMP, and Lab Safety Guidelines;
  • Write and perform investigation of out of specification OOS;
  • Perform validation (IQ, OQ, PQ) of laboratory instruments and analytical methods under the directions of senior chemist, lab supervisor and/or manager;
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
  • Perform other job duties related to the job, as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate; and
  • BA / BS in Science, Chemistry.
  • Two to five (2-5) years' experience in Pharmaceutical and/ or Dietary Supplements industry with two years of experience running GC/MS and/or ICP/MS;
  • Experience working on GC/MS and/or ICP/MS in GMP or regulated laboratory environment;
  • Have good knowledge and understanding of quality in the manufacturing environment, as well as laboratory controls and safety;
  • Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.
