This opportunity entails, while under close supervision and review, the intern will assist assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering-related, computer assisted drafting and design (CADD) and administrative support tasks reflective of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) education at high school Junior and Senior level.

What You'll Do:

  • Under close supervision and review, the intern performs basic engineering calculations and related tasks.
  • Assists engineers and/or technicians in organizing information for use in drawings or other documents.
  • Utilizes computer aided drafting to assist in the preparation of CADD plans.
  • Assists engineers in various tasks including writing, report creation, data analysis, presentation development and other administrative support tasks.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • Current enrollmentin Junior or Senior year of High School

What We Prefer:

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative on assigned tasks.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or willingness to learn computer-aided drafting tools; AutoCAD Certification is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Microsoft Excel Expert Certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience through extracurricular activities, athletics, community organizations, or volunteer roles.
  • Active involvement in community service or civic engagement programs.
  • Strong academic record with a focus on STEM coursework.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Interest in infrastructure engineering, transportation, or related STEM disciplines.
