Job description

Are you passionate about automotive technology and skilled in electrical engineering, RF systems, and customer collaboration? We're looking for a Resident Engineer to join our team and act as the primary liaison at an OEM site, bridging supplier and customer technical teams to support innovative vehicle programs.
Role Overview:
In this position, you will lead the technical coordination for product development, integration, validation, launch, and ongoing support. Your expertise in RF systems, antennas, wiring architectures, and vehicle communication will be pivotal in ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction. You'll serve as the on-site technical specialist, collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management to drive issue resolution and manage project timelines.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide hands-on engineering support directly at the OEM location, acting as the main technical contact for all electrical and RF-related matters.
  • Coordinate activities around electrical systems, RF integration, and wiring for both ongoing and upcoming vehicle programs.
  • Support troubleshooting, validation, and integration of RF components, antennas, coaxials, and wiring harnesses.
  • Lead investigations on warranty, validation, and production issues, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and solution delivery.
  • Manage program deliveries, engineering changes, documentation, and readiness for customer launches.
  • Partner with teams in engineering, purchasing, manufacturing, and quality—both at OEM and supplier level.
  • Assist vehicle testing, signal integrity checks, and EMC/RF validation, addressing any electrical issues.
  • Monitor program risks, report on project status, and help drive recovery actions.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts in quality and reliability.
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Deep experience with RF systems, antennas, vehicle telematics, connectivity, coaxial cable systems, and automotive wiring.
  • Prior involvement in automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier environments strongly preferred.
  • Skilled in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and using diagnostic equipment.
  • Proven success supporting OEM customers as a resident engineer or launch engineer; program management experience a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects in a dynamic, automotive-focused workplace.
