Experience with modern programming languages, cloud platforms, version control systems like Git, and sometimes full-stack or DevOps tools is highly valued. These skills and qualities are essential for rapidly building and iterating products, collaborating with small teams, and responding swiftly to changing business needs.

What are some unique challenges developers face when working at a startup compared to larger companies?

The work environment tends to be fast-paced and dynamic, with priorities and product goals that can rapidly change in response to user feedback or market needs. This means developers must be adaptable, self-driven, and comfortable with ambiguity, frequently multitasking and picking up new technologies as needed. However, this also creates significant opportunities for professional growth, hands-on experience with various technologies, and a direct impact on the product and company’s success.
