Job description

Are you an experienced Technical Project Coordinator with a strong background in engineering projects and cross‑functional coordination? We are now seeking two skilled Technical Project Coordinators to support a large international research facility based in Lund, Sweden.

We are looking for Technical Project Coordinators who will play a key role in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects across Mechanical, Plant & Process and Electrical disciplines. You will work closely with engineers, technical specialists and project stakeholders to ensure projects are well planned, documented and executed in a structured and efficient manner.

The assignment is scheduled to start at the end of August 2026 and will run for 7 months with the possibility of extension. The position is full‑time (100%) and requires full on‑site presence in Lund, Sweden.

About the Role

As a Technical Project Coordinator, you will support the execution of engineering projects by coordinating activities across multiple technical disciplines. You will help define project scope, organize project breakdowns, estimate timelines and costs, facilitate technical discussions, and ensure that project progress is effectively tracked and communicated. This role requires someone who thrives in a dynamic engineering environment, enjoys collaborating with technical experts, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining a structured approach.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Planning

  • Ensure project scope is clearly defined before execution, including technical, interface and legal requirements.
  • Organize and structure project breakdowns to support efficient execution.
  • Assist in evaluating project timelines, resource needs and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate activities across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Technical Coordination & Documentation

  • Participate in technical meetings and discussions with engineering teams.
  • Document meeting outcomes, action points and decisions.
  • Translate technical discussions into clear, actionable tasks and assignments.
  • Support the management of engineering documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Progress Tracking & Reporting

  • Monitor project progress and follow up on ongoing engineering activities.
  • Update and maintain task tracking tools, including Jira, to provide visibility of workloads, deadlines and project status.
  • Support reporting activities and ensure stakeholders have accurate project information.
  • Help identify risks, bottlenecks and potential scheduling issues.

Project Support & Problem Solving

  • Support engineering teams in resolving project‑related challenges.
  • Coordinate communication between different technical disciplines.
  • Contribute to maintaining project momentum by helping prioritize activities and removing obstacles.
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with established engineering processes and standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience coordinating technical projects within engineering or industrial environments.
  • Demonstrated experience managing engineering workflows, technical documentation and project progress.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Proven ability to independently organize and manage multiple concurrent projects.

Meritorious experience includes:

  • Experience working with Jira for task tracking, reporting and workflow configuration.
  • Knowledge of relevant European and Swedish engineering standards.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering projects across Mechanical, Process and Electrical disciplines.
  • Experience working in regulated or highly controlled industrial environments, such as nuclear, pressure vessels or life sciences.
  • PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
Who You Are
  • Structured & Organized: You have excellent planning skills and can coordinate multiple activities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proactive & Self‑Driven: You take ownership of your work, identify issues early and drive tasks forward independently.
  • Collaborative & Communicative: You build strong relationships with technical teams and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solution‑Oriented: You enjoy solving problems, removing obstacles and finding practical ways to keep projects moving.
  • Adaptable & Flexible: You are comfortable working in a dynamic engineering environment with evolving priorities and complex technical challenges.
