Quality Engineering Intern/Co-op - Spring 2027

We are looking for 2 Interns/Co-ops for the Spring 2027 semester who can work full-time, onsite with employment starting in January. The Quality Assurance Co-op or Intern will prepare clear, complete and accurate Quality documents, flow charts from rough or outlines of a procedure and apply them to a specific document format by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES; other duties as assigned:
  • UpholdsAndisCore Values in all work-related activities.
  • Creates or updates specific written procedures, documents, flowcharts as required. This work is done under close direction from a Quality Engineer, Supervisor or Quality Manager.
  • Enters raw data collected from various production operations into the appropriate programmer spread sheets.
    • Complete data analysis utilizing Minitab Software (based on previous engineering/internship experience)
  • Collects and correlates gage/fixture information
  • Performs process and product audits (as needed)
  • Utilizes knowledge of engineering practices, mathematics, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
  • Makes small design changes to 3D models previously created using the Solid Works program.
  • Problem solves quality issues and writes non-conforming material reports.
  • Assists with Calibration activities as needed.
  • Assists with PPAP and Ad-hoc activities as needed.
  • Assists with sorting, measurement, and any other root cause investigation activities.
  • Assists with incoming inspection as needed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be enrolled in an accredited technical schoolor university,studying toward an associate/bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Proficient in MS Office, preferably Word, Outlook, and Excel (utilizing various functions, VLOOKUP, etc.)
  • Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to create professional reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Engineers, Designers,supervisors,and peers.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to remain flexible and adaptable during high priority projects/tasks.
