Product Operations Associate
About the Role
We're looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable Product Operations Associate to help scale and optimize our operational processes. In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Design, and Operations to execute critical workflows, improve operational efficiency, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex problems, and is passionate about building scalable processes that support both customers and internal teams.
What You'll Do
  • Execute operational workflows with accuracy, efficiency, and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Partner across Product, Engineering, Design, Customer Success, and Operations to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, risks, and process gaps, and recommend scalable solutions.
  • Support new product launches, operational initiatives, and workflow enhancements.
  • Analyze operational metrics and performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational playbooks.
  • Manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and operational deadlines.
  • Learn new systems and product functionality quickly to support evolving business needs.
  • Help drive a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience in a high-growth startup, HR technology, payroll, benefits administration, or HRIS environment is preferred.
  • Experience supporting leave of absence administration in a multi-state environment is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret operational data and identify trends.
  • Comfortable working in queue-based workflows and balancing competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-changing, ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrated ownership, initiative, and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Empathy for employees navigating complex leave and benefits experiences.
  • Experience with operational and reporting tools such as Metabase, Asana, HubSpot, Google Sheets/Excel, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, systems, and operational processes.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, you will:
  • Deliver accurate, high-quality operational work while consistently meeting SLAs.
  • Improve operational efficiency by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce risk.
  • Build and maintain scalable documentation, SOPs, and operational playbooks.
  • Collaborate effectively across teams to resolve issues and enhance the customer experience.
  • Use data and operational metrics to drive informed decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused operations culture.
If you're energized by solving operational challenges, improving processes, and helping build scalable systems in a growing company, we'd love to hear from you.
